My name is Corey Houck
I am a lifelong musician, pianist, and composer. With experience in Live Performance my entire adult life, I am also a trained and educated producer and mixing engineer.
A Lifelong Pianist
Since before I could remember I've been tickling the ivories. Once I began taking Jazz lessons in High School, I decided to take making music more professionally. It was around this time I started in my first cover band and for years played live music around the south central PA region. Since then I have been a part of 5 performing groups of live music as a keyboardist .
Education and Background
As a part of taking music more professionally, I enrolled and eventually graduated from Millersville University's Tell School of Music with a B.S. in Music Industry and concentration in Audio Production. It was here I learned recording in a professional studio, mixing and mastering techniques, enhanced my composition skills, and grew as a pianist by having Jazz Piano as my focus instrument.
Composer
Since I was a little kid and first had access to a Composition tool called "Noteflight", I've been writing anything and everything I could think of. As I've grown as a musician, 2 styles have began to become my focus in composing. I have my own small pop music career, as well as becoming versed in instrumental / cinematic scoring.
